""Francis Alexander Trotter was born in King City, Mo., on February 6, 1912 and died November 5, 1921 at his home near Traer Kansas age 9 years, 9 months. Francis was a boy who believed in God and always said his prayers before going to bed. He was a lover of both church and Sunday school. He was very much interested in his Sunday school class and when taught a lesson, always remembered it and insisted on putting it in practice. Francis was an obedient son, was possessor of a sweet dispostion and was always kind and agreeable in the home circle. He was noticed and loved by all and always had a pleasant word for those he met. He leaves to mourn his departure, a father, mother, two sisters, Pearl and Lillie; four brothers, Malvin (Melvin), Troman (Truman), Oliver, James; one grandfather and grandmother, four uncles and four aunts and two aunts and one baby sister having gone on before to the other world. Little Francis will be missed in the home but we know our loss is Heaven's gain. Funeral services were held Monday November 7, at the Traer Methodist church, Rev. Ray Altaffer in charge and the body was interned in the Traer Cemetery." The Oberlin Times.
1Obituary, 2 Jul 2003. "BURIED THIER BABE "Eliza May, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs P. A. Trotter, died at thier home in east Albany on Sept. 3rd. The body was conveyed to King City, where a short service was conducted by Rev. J. S. Wayman on Sept. 4th, and burial was in the King City cemetery."."
