Theodate married 1) Joseph Seal about 1731 by a 'Priest' but made satisfaction and reutrned to the MM at Center, New Castle. Joseph Seal and Theodate moved soon after marriage to York County, PA where Joseph died about 1736 without issue. Theodate was living at the home of her sister, Anna Day, when she married her second husband Robert Hodgins on 29 May 1740. This was the first Quaker wedding in what is now York Co., later Newberry Township. In 1759, they received a certificate to move to Orange Co., NC in company with Theodate's brother, Christopher Hussey. Robert Hodgins and Christopher were partners running a 600 acre farm near Holly Springs Friends meeting house, just south of Ramseur, NC."."
