2Obituary from Oberlin Herald Newspaper - Kansas, 19 Mar 2003. ""Edith Rosanna Tubbs was born to George A. and Mary Ellen Tubbs in Illinois, February 23, 1874 and passed away fater a short illness at her home in St. Francis, Kans., Aprils 5, 1937 at the age of 63 years, 1 month and 12 days. At the age of six years she moved with her parents and two sisters to Oberlin, KAnsas, where she grew to womanhood and on June 14, 1891, was united in marriage to Lilbern P. Guinn at Red Cloud, Nebr., where they made their home for six years, moving from there back to oberlin. In 1907 she united with the M. E. Church of that city where she held her membership until called to her Eternal home. She with her family moved to Bird City, Kansas in 1919, later moving to Casper, Wyo., where they resided until December of last year when she moved to St. Francis, Kansas, with her husband, daughter and two sons. A daughter, Wilma, her parents and eoldest sister preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Lilbern P. Guinn; two daughters Mrs. Gladys Wend (?) of Sheridan, Wyo.; and Mrs. Letha Smith of the home; five sons, LaSalle H. of Pocatello Idaho, Dupuy C. and George L. of the home, Howard of Casper, Wyo., a sister , Mrs. Nora Brannan of Hershey, Nebr.; eleven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews besides a host of friends. Mrs. Guinn was a pratical nurse and always doing for others where ever needed, her kindly smile and generous nature bringing cheer and comfort to many a sufferer. She was a good wife and mother; a neighbor and friend to all. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, March (April) 7th, at the Oberlin Methodist Church, by Reverand Mark Smith. Burial was made in the Oberlin Cemetery."."
